Flight logs as journals
The drone keeps better records of my year than I do. Altitude, weather, hesitation — it’s all in there.

Going through two seasons of flight logs for the insurance renewal, I realized the drone keeps a better journal than I do. Where I was, what the wind was doing, how long I hovered before committing to the shot.
The hesitation is the interesting part. You can see confidence in the telemetry — early flights are all altitude changes and aborted lines; late ones are two clean passes and home.
