Slow photography
Deliberately shooting less: one location, one hour, twelve frames, and whatever the light decides to do.
Matteson Machielse
written from the rack room
An experiment against the burst-everything instinct: one location, one hour, a hard cap of twelve frames. The drone stays home.
What changes is the noticing. With four hundred frames you photograph first and see later; with twelve you stand there long enough for the scene to actually happen to you. Half the polaroids on this site are from the slow sessions now.
