Christopher Alexander’s A Pattern Language is nominally about towns and buildings. Read it as an infrastructure person and it’s unsettling how directly it maps.

“Light on two sides of every room” is just observability. “Gradual stiffening” is how every good homelab actually gets built — loose and reversible first, rigid only where it has earned it.
